Photoshop was one of the main lessons of this particular course. During the semester there were several projects geared towards honing our photoshop skills.
In the first project, there were vector elements used along with mastery of the pen tool. I chose a Sonic the Hedgehog theme. I incorporated the classic game's color schemes while also attempting to recreate the level screens which appear before the start of every game. I also used the magnetic lasso to isolate the sonic images from their backgrounds.
This project allowed the class to explore the different ways to make a photograph visually appealing. For this project, I used a destaturation filter for the outside of the focal point.
In this project, I simply blended the Statue of Liberty into the flag through the use of some transperency tools.
Similar methods were used for the following project
For this project, I focused on isolating an important color. Zeta Phi Beta's sorority colors are Royal Blue and Pure White; I isolated those colors in this picture to make the photo stand out. The skill can be used to make photographs even more powerful by emphasizing selected colors.
This project focused on the use of layers and some transperency skills.
